JOHN WERICH

Based in Tuscany, Italy since 2006, John Werich has studied Interior Design, Fashion and Art History. A former student of Polymoda, Italy, John now works as a photographer and writer. 

 

37 years of age, John has in a short time made a name for himself as both a photographer  and a writer. In a short time John has featured in several international publications, including InStyle Home, House Beautiful and Gods & Gårdar (Swedish Estate & Manor).

 

John contributes as a freelance editor and photographer specializing in interiors, gardens, fashion and food. In doing so John combines all the things in life that he loves.

 

Growing up in an art-loving family in the countryside of southern Sweden, John became involved in design, art and other cultural pursuits at an early age. After completing his studies in Sweden John continued his studies in Montpellier, France, studying Art History at the Université Paul Valery.

 

Before moving to Florence John studied Graphical Design at Helliden, Sweden. In Florence he studied Interior Design at Accademia Italiana, Fashion Design at Polimoda and Art History at The British Institute.

 

Throughout his academic pursuits John was continuously engaged in design and art-related projects through his family-owned art gallery and concert hall and design commissions.

 

From 2011 to 2015 he also ran B&M Books and Fine Art in Florence, The oldest English bookshop in the city, established in 1961

Since 2022 he runs the historic residence and Gourmet restaurant  PALAZZO TIGLIO in San Pancrazio Tuscany. A renovated 17th century noble palace with apartments, gourmet restaurant, delicatessen, wine bar and coffeeshop.
